Convenient Location
Lewisville sits just north of the DFW airport {about a fifteen minute drive}, and has quick and easy freeway access to downtown Dallas, UNT, and TWU {colleges that are both located in Denton}. If you’ve got Oklahoma ties, you can even be across the border in about an hour.
Friday Night Lights
If you know anything about Texas, you know we love our football as much as we love our Whataburger, and Friday night lights are alive and well in Lewisville! When the Fighting Farmers take the field at Lewisville High School, the stands are usually packed, not only with students and families, but with members of the community that come out to cheer the team on!

People don’t always think about property taxes when moving to a new city or community but property taxes need to be considered, especially in Texas. Because there’s no state income tax, property taxes tend to be higher here than in many other states. Lewisville has a lower property tax rate than many other cities in the metroplex.

While it’s doubtful that this city is the first place that comes to mind when you think of the arts, it holds its own in this department. Old Town Lewisville, in particular, is home to a theater venue, outdoor concerts and festivals, sculptures, and colorful murals.

I’m a huge fan of Old Town Lewisville, and it’s not just because my office sits right in heart of it and I love being a Lewisville real estate agent! This area, to me, really feels like the heartbeat of this city. With historic buildings housing stores, a coffee shop, and restaurants, the towering city hall building, and an urban park, this area is the perfect place to spend some time. It’s also a great place to check out real estate, whether you’re looking for an old home to fix up, an old house to turn into a commercial property, or a place to call home.
Festivals and Events
Lewisville {and Old Town, in particular} hosts a number of events throughout the year, including First Fridays, Western Days, a homecoming parade, and Holiday Stroll. These events not only add an element of fun but they also build a sense of community within the area.
