I love when a referral turns into meeting people I genuinely enjoy.

These clients were relocating from East Texas, and we found them a beautiful home in Sherman. It’s full of custom upgrades, has been well maintained, and has a great outdoor space with a large covered patio.

There were quite a few moving parts in this transaction. My clients needed to close on their current home in order to close on this one, and the sellers of this home needed to close on this one in order to close on their next home. Basically, a house of cards. 😅

Everything came together so smoothly. I had a great agent to work with on the Sherman deal and we got to the closing table early and without a single hiccup.

One of the things I love most about this job is meeting new people who are just really enjoyable to work with. I’m grateful this referral brought us together and that I got to help them find their new home.

As someone who loves listening to podcasts, it was really neat to be a guest on one! I got to sit down with Mattias Clymer on The REI Agent podcast and talk about part of my work that I truly love. We covered divorce real estate, a corner of this business that a lot of agents shy away from, and what it looks like to help someone find steady ground during a hard chapter.

I’m an RCS-D (Real Estate Collaboration Specialist in Divorce) and walking alongside clients through one of life’s hardest transitions is something I don’t take lightly.

Flower Mound’s Riverwalk has been a little quiet t

Flower Mound’s Riverwalk has been a little quiet the last few years, but I’m hopeful that it’s getting a second wind and is about to become the place we all want it to be!

Four spots are under new ownership, and it seems hopeful that a different energy is building. There’s a wine lounge, a Mexican cantina with margaritas (a must for patio dining), a sports bar, and a spot to grab brunch. That should cover all the bases.

My favorite part is the patio and river view. It’s such a relaxing place to unwind and it doesn’t feel like it’s in the middle of Flower Mound. And it’s perfect for an after-dinner stroll.

If you’ve ever watched Friday Night Lights and wondered if Texas high school football is actually like that … it is.

The stadium lights are on, and the stands fill up with students, parents, friends, neighbors, and people who don’t even have a kid at the school. The cheerleaders are there, the marching band is playing, everyone’s wearing their team color, and the excitement is palpable. For a few hours, the whole community is invested in what’s happening on that field.

The first time I experienced it, I got goosebumps. It’s really neat to see a community come together for a high school team. It’s one of the things that makes a huge metroplex feel smaller.

If you’re thinking about moving to DFW, don’t miss the experience of a Friday night at the local stadium!

Girls’ night can be just as great in the suburbs as it is in Uptown. Lakeside has everything you need for a fun night with friends!

I’m just scratching the surface with the places mentioned in this post. There are so many great restaurants, health and wellness facilities, beauty stops, and even a dog park, if girls’ night includes the four legged friends. 🐾

Even just walking around in the evening is its own kind of fun.
