Bridlewood is Flower Mound’s premier golf course community, built around the 18-hole Bridlewood Golf Club and its 25 acres of lakes and meandering creek. Established in 2007, Bridlewood has grown into 11 distinct neighborhoods – from Coventry, the largest, to The Reserve, a gated enclave with oversized lots and golf course views. Whatever your neighborhood, you’re zoned to some of Lewisville ISD’s best schools and surrounded by the rolling, wooded terrain that gives Bridlewood its character.
The Lifestyle
Bridlewood’s amenity list reads like a resort: two community pools (home to the Bridlewood Torpedoes swim team), tennis and pickleball courts, a basketball court, a fitness center, and miles of trails winding through the trees and connecting to Spring Lake Park. If you’re into horses, the privately-owned Bridlewood Stables and Equestrian Center has over 45 stables, 16 turnouts, a covered riding center, and lessons from instructors who know what they’re doing.
The golf club itself is the heart of the community. Designed by D.A. Weibring, the restaurant and clubhouse double as a social hub even for residents who don’t play. Bridlewood sits within Flower Mound proper, so there’s no MUD or PID tax to factor in.
Randi’s Take
Bridlewood is one of those communities where the lifestyle really does match the listing photos – the golf course, the trails, the equestrian center, it’s all real and it all gets used. What I tell buyers most is that Bridlewood isn’t really one neighborhood – it’s eleven, and they vary a lot in price and lot size. The Reserve is a completely different experience than Coventry or Windsor Heights. If Bridlewood is on your list, let’s talk about which section actually fits what you’re looking for, because that decision matters more here than in most communities.
The Homes
Because Bridlewood was built out across eleven areas over time, the range here is wide, both in price and in feel. Standard areas run roughly $600K to $850K, mid-tier sections move into the $850K–$1.2M range, and luxury sections like The Reserve and Balmoral can run well past $1M, with some homes topping $2M. Square footage spans from around 2,450 square feet up to 6,800+ in the largest estate sections. Architecturally, you’ll find custom-built estates, spacious traditional single-family homes, and upscale townhome-style options like Windsor Heights, which offers low-maintenance, lock-and-leave living with front yard maintenance included.
Bridlewood has a two-layer HOA structure – a master HOA covering golf course perks, common areas, pools, and tennis, plus section-specific HOA’s for your immediate neighborhood.
