Moving to Westlake, Texas
Westlake is a small town in northeast Tarrant County, with part of it reaching into southeast Denton County, tucked between Southlake, Keller, Trophy Club, and Roanoke. Local ranchers and homeowners, including Dallas attorney J. Glenn Turner of the Circle T Ranch, incorporated the town in December 1956 and chose the name Westlake because Southlake was already taken. Today most of Westlake is master-planned, gated neighborhoods with custom homes on large lots, along with the Catalonia-inspired Entrada development and the Solana office and hotel district along Highway 114. Grocery shopping and most dining are a short drive away in Southlake, Keller, Trophy Club, and Roanoke.
